Pre-session preparations
Go over your instruments to make sure they are at their best shape for recording. This should include instrument intonation, as well as new strings, drum heads, and sticks. Check all drum hardware for rattles and noises. We have a 5 piece Tama Rockstar (7 ply maple) if you prefer to use ours. When you have a session booked, one of our engineers will consult with you on any questions you may have on how to get the tone you want. There's also a vintage Hammond M5 for that real organ power, a classic Farfisa, a cool Korg Poly/vocoder and a full compliment of Reason 4.0 keyboards available. We are renown for our guitar tones. Augment your tonal choices with our Vox AC-30, Naylor, Ampeg V4, Matchless, Silvertone, Marshall, Supro, or Traynor specialty guitar amplifiers. Call ahead to reserve the Strat, Les Paul, Tele, Rickenbacker, Reverend, or Taylor acoustic for your session.

About Digital Files and Mixing: The best results are achieved by mixing out of the box- why use a plug-in when you can use the real thing, right? In order to utilize the best of our analog gear in a mix, it's necessary to have your song and audio files arranged in the same manner that major labels require of us, which is to have each song on it's own dvd, and each track consolidated from the exact beginning to the end of the song with each file of the same length, as a .wav type, and clearly labeled. This not only gives you what is defined as a "Master" of each song, it also serves as a concise backup and safety of your work, and allows you to work on any present or future audio format, not just the the one you are working with now. Pro toolers can reference consolidation and exporting regions as files in their Pro Tool guides. We can do it for you, but you'll have to allow for extra time.
